The journey takes you to Kibale Forest National Park for chimpanzee trekking, Queen Elizabeth National Park for wildlife safaris, and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for the once-in-a-lifetime experience of gorilla trekking.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 — Entebbe / Kampala → Kibale Forest

Your safari begins with pickup from Entebbe or Kampala followed by a scenic drive west toward Kibale Forest National Park. The route passes tea plantations, traditional villages, and beautiful crater lakes.

Arrive in the afternoon and relax at your lodge near the forest.

Day 2 — Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest

After breakfast you will join park rangers for chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest. This tropical rainforest is home to over 1,500 chimpanzees and several other primate species.

Once the chimpanzees are located, you will spend an hour observing them in their natural habitat.

Day 3 — Kibale → Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast drive south to Queen Elizabeth National Park. In the afternoon enjoy a scenic boat safari along the famous Kazinga Channel, home to hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and hundreds of bird species.

Day 4 — Game Drive & Transfer to Bwindi

Enjoy a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park searching for lions, elephants, buffalo, and antelope.

Later travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest via the Ishasha sector where you may spot the famous tree-climbing lions.

Day 5 — Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Today is the highlight of your safari — gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. After a briefing by park rangers you will trek through the forest to locate a family of mountain gorillas.

Once found, you will spend one magical hour observing these incredible primates.

Day 6 — Return to Entebbe / Kampala

After breakfast begin the journey back to Entebbe or Kampala, arriving in the afternoon or evening depending on your departure plans.

End of an unforgettable Uganda primate safari.
