Day 1: Transfer to Mount Elgon National Park → Forest Trek Your journey begins with a morning transfer to **Mount Elgon National Park** on the Kenya side. After arriving at the park gate and completing registration, meet your trekking guide and ranger before beginning the hike into the lush montane forest. The trail winds through towering trees, bamboo groves, and small streams as you gradually ascend deeper into the mountain. Along the way, you may spot **colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, forest birds, and unique plant species** that thrive in this cool mountain environment.
