Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 — Entebbe / Kampala → Kibale Forest

Your Uganda adventure begins with pickup from Entebbe or Kampala followed by a scenic drive west to Kibale Forest National Park. The route passes tea plantations, crater lakes, and beautiful countryside.

Arrive in the afternoon and relax at your lodge near Kibale Forest.

Day 2 — Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest

Today you will experience chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest. After a briefing by park rangers, you will hike through the rainforest searching for chimpanzee families.

Once found, enjoy a memorable hour observing these fascinating primates in their natural habitat.

Day 3 — Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast depart Kibale and drive south to Queen Elizabeth National Park. In the afternoon enjoy a scenic boat safari along the Kazinga Channel.

This waterway is famous for its large populations of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and birds.

Day 4 — Game Drives in Queen Elizabeth

Spend the day exploring Queen Elizabeth National Park on morning and afternoon game drives.

Wildlife sightings may include lions, elephants, buffalo, antelope, hyenas, and many bird species.

Day 5 — Queen Elizabeth → Bwindi Forest

After breakfast travel toward Bwindi Impenetrable Forest via the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions.

Arrive in Bwindi in the afternoon and prepare for the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure.

Day 6 — Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Today is the highlight of your safari — gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

After a briefing by park rangers, trek through the forest to locate a family of endangered mountain gorillas. Once found, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing them.

Day 7 — Return to Entebbe / Kampala

After breakfast begin the scenic return journey to Entebbe or Kampala with stops along the way.

End of an unforgettable Uganda wildlife and primate safari.
